Program Supervisor - MaryEllen has 35 years of experience as an EMS professional including 13 years as a Paramedic Field Supervisor and 19 years in Operations Management. In addition to her immeasurable experience “in the field”, MaryEllen also understands the complex logistical challenges of EMS through experience as an EMS Dispatcher of non-emergent and emergent transport & services, including Boston Med-Flight.
MaryEllen has considerable training in all areas of Emergency Medical Service, including NFA/FEMA Incident Command Systems, Operational HAZ-MAT, WMD Response, and Tactical EMS & Support Rehabilitation. She holds positions on several Boards & Committees including MASS Region 5 Executive Board Secretary/Treasurer, and DRT/FEMA Forward Deployment Task Forces Leader and Logistical Manager.
MaryEllen has been a member or Team Leader for Critical Incident Stress Management teams of local municipalities and private ambulance services. She provides instruction for the American Heart Association in CPR/AED/First Aid, is a past member of the National EMS Honor Guard, and is registered PHTLS/ACLS/NREMTP.
MaryEllen is looking forward to leveraging her past experience in EMS Operations, logistics and Paramedicine to help craft the future of healthcare as a SmartCare Community Paramedic.
