Originally from New Jersey, Matt Williams moved to Massachusetts in 2010 and began working for Cataldo Ambulance as an EMT. In 2014 he obtained his Paramedic certification from EMS Academy while continuing to work for Cataldo as a basic and eventually as a medic. After gaining much experience as a city “street paramedic” Matt was promoted to the position of Liaison Facilitator for one of Cataldo’s largest contracts, the Beth Israel Hospital Boston.
In 2018 Matt joined SmartCare as a community paramedic stating: “It was the ideals of true patient-centered care that drove me to pursue a career in mobile integrated healthcare”.
While working as a paramedic for Cataldo, Matt attended UMass Boston and graduated with honors in May of 2018 with a BA in History and began teaching at Northeastern University, where he teaches a Basic Clinical Skills course, as well as an EMT course. Currently an AHA CPR instructor, and working on a certification to become an EMS Instructor/Coordinator. Matt holds certifications for BLS CPR, ACLS, PALS, NREMT.
